Constellations FAQs

Can you do constellations work via skype or remotely?
Yes. This is my most common use of constellations-based work. I also facilitate in-person constellations where the client provides the group and the venue, and teach leaders and clinicians how to use this lens to enhance and deepen their work.

Do you do constellations with fatigue or burnout?
Yes. It's crucial to include housebound folk in both research and treatment. Even though conventional constellations can take up to 90 minutes, we can look at any issue through this lens and movement is possible within a few minutes. We can work with you (or your loved one) wherever you are - physically and geographically.

What exactly are family or systemic constellations?
Short version (1): A therapeutic exploration that reveals ancestral or relational patterns behind individual issues.
Short version (2): A body-centred method of inquiry that allows us to access, interpret and work with systemic and relational information (and develop and deepen our self-trust, self-confidence and empathy along the way).

Constellations are typically conducted in a live group session, and have also been integrated into individual changework, remote healing and even classroom education. Each week I facilitate remote holo-clearings, attuning to and releasing different entanglements in emotion, beliefs, body, energetic, inherited and systemic patterning for myself and my inner circle clients. This remote holo-clearing intuitively integrates family constellations, oneness blessings, EFT, EC, MNLP, SVH, ancestral ho’oponopono and other modalities to help to release unspoken suffering and often allows inexplicable and deep-seated patterns to start to gently reveal and resolve themselves.

Current theme:
“The trauma of unspoken loss”

Inspired by the lost generation, lost health, this,
and the answers research participants gave to:
"Is there anything that no one ever talks about?"

Last month's theme:
“The trauma of not being seen”

Inspired by this article, and the heartbreaking and
humbling experiences of several private clients.

The systemic constellation process is an embodied experience of systems thinking, a multigenerational therapeutic approach and phenomenological inquiry methodology that stems from Bert Hellinger’s work with family systems. It has been noted that the quality of human consciousness is being transformed during our lifetime. Family and systemic constellations is an individual changework process (that usually engages a group of people in service of the individual) that opens a window into the field of awareness, a lens that is outside of usual time-bound consciousness, enabling us to reveal and revise interactional and relational patterning in complex systems no matter where or when that patterning originated. As a practice it has been uniquely and inextricably integrated into personal changework by my esteemed colleague and friend, Carl Buchheit. You can find my favorite trauma and constellations-related books here. And here is my #1 recommended book for novices and professionals alike:

I have personally faciliated constellations in Australia, the USA, Canada, and online, for both business and personal change, working just as smoothly with tech startups as with depression or multiple personalities. I also used systemic constellations as the research method for my masters thesis, and I advocate for more research projects to be conducted using constellations to reveal otherwise inaccessible systemic themes (I’d be happy to discuss potential research projects and research design).

All constellation work includes unconventional mindfulness and manuevers of consciousness to restore proper balance, connection, and nourishing flow to all areas of health, wealth, relationships, business, and self-expression. Concepts like suffering, forgiveness, love, honor, acceptance, giving, taking, guilt, innocence, belief, belonging, attachment, individuation, reaching out, letting go, us, them, and self all take on deeper, more embodied physical and practical meaning after they have been re-experienced through this simple yet powerful lens.

Private constellations can be conducted in person or remotely, and are available for individuals, families and businesses worldwide. Constellations are also available to explore systemic themes for phenomenological research projects.

If you would like to schedule a constellation for yourself or your group, invite me to speak, or ask a quick spoonie or research question, feel free to email me here.

PS, Carl and I are both honoured to be presenting (separately) at the US Systemic Constellations Conference in San Diego this November. Might see you there :)
